Anyone got their FRM replaced under warranty?

Hey I'd like to know if anyone got their's replaced under warranty. More specifically wondering if they are very thorough in that like there needs to be codes and faults have to be fully present and how many things acting up or if you can come up with a code printout and they say ok let's replace it.

Looking for people who can comment that had experience with getting theirs replaced.

They get replaced when they are failed. Generally the headlights are inop, lots of indicator lamps on cluster. There will be fault codes. I’ve replaced several under warranty.

Other day I got

. Right indicator wouldn't work and right window wouldn't go down properly, only like an inch at a time and got trap error.

Next day issues kinda went away, also took out FRM to inspects connectors hasn't come back since but I'm kinda afraid it craps out soon after warranty.

Can I ask if oyu follow the ISTA test plan to determine if you replace the FRM? I followed it and probed pins at appropriate connector and it said if 12v is reaching it properly to replace FRM. Is this what the tech would do?

Doesn’t sound like an FRM failure. Typically no communication with the FRM dictates replacement. I have about 24 sitting in a box in my shop

Interesting, seems that earlier cars produced before 8/09 are not affected. Maybe that means starts with 2010 model year for havin the issue?

Hmm alright, but the test plan in ISTA did say to replace FRM if voltage was reaching FRM properly and if window switche actuated the window.

It wouldn’t be replaced for that type of failure under any warranty
