Ignition coil boot got stuck on spark plug

I was having a misfire for cylinder 6 and decided to take a look. When I pulled out the ignition coil, half of the rubber boot was stuck to the spark plug (picture on the left is coil for #6, right is #1 for comparison).

Anyone ever experience something like this? The coil was replaced only 19k miles ago. Will I need to remove the valve cover to get the coil boot removed?

find a piece of pipe that's the right size to just slip over the plug and copy that.
or buy it.

That's what happens when you don't put dialetric grease on the rubber part

Yep. Easy fix. Spray some silicone lube down into the hole. Grab a thin screwdriver and move around what's left of the rubber to get it nice and slick. If you have long, thin needle nose pliers, simply grab and pull. If not, use your thin screw driver to carefully lever it out. I just stabbed the rubber and it lifted right out.
