Is n54 oil pan gasket DIY different from 328/n52?

In the diy forum there I couldn't find an oil pan gasket DIY for an n54. Does this mean it is universal to the e9x platform?

Either engine, I wonder if the control arms need to be disconnected. Or if this DIY (in genera) will work on the N54:

I don't know whether you can DIY the oil pan on either engine without disconnecting the control arms, but I would recommend using the opportunity to replace the engine mounts particularly for N54. For that, in my experience I'm not sure how you'd do it without completely dropping the sub-frame.

From what I could gather, newtis suggest that the factory procedure is to remove the strut nuts and lower the entire subframe with everything bolted to it a few inches. This presumably gives enough clearance to take the pan out. Actually, this may not even involve taking the strut nuts off and they do it as in the diy posted above

If I remember correctly, I only took the strut nuts off on one side only, I didn't have to remove control arms. Swaybar links yes.
