Looks nice but kinda pricey - Who wants to help me pay off my credit card payments for my MPE so I can buy this instead?

The tips look too big and stick out too much for my liking. I'll continue to wait for a more subdue version of a quad exhaust. Sounds nice though and I love the balanced valve technology.

Pricey? I guess that's a perspective thing. Ours is cheaper than MPE, comes with tips and adds a valve for the same section of exhaust.

The tips are clamp on so you can put them back more than what we do. We like to see the start of the logo (1/4") or so when the exhaust is cold from the top. You are free to do whatever you want though.

As for the tip size-- we originally thought the same thing without testing them but then we put on the 4" because the geometry was right and it filled up the tip cutout perfectly. Once we saw it we couldn't go back to the smaller tips.

This is good to know, for me Dinan tips always stuck out a little too far to get that logo out there. Would like to set it in a bit more, like the shadowline tips are very tucked in for example.

Thanx for the tip!!

I have to agree with Dinan on this one. For a BMW M-Performance car's exhaust its pretty much what I would expect. Especially for Dinan, whose products used to be cost prohibitive for the great majority of potential customers. Their pricing is much more reasonable nowadays. I think when more companies release their exhaust products you will see.

Pretty reasonable pricing and looks like excellent craftsmanship. I also thought that the tips came out a little bit too much, but it was obvious from the pics that they can be adjusted. Im hoping that I can order one in the very near future.

Dinan, if you guys have a straight forward rear-end shot, it would be great! I want to see how the tips look when looking at the rear-end straight on. Thanks!

I'll see if I can get one of the guys in the office to shoot me over a quick photo. Working remote is great but sucks for sooooo many other things.

Update:
Pics plus proper BMW parking technique (over the line and in a handicap spot). Lol

If you read the description of the exhaust basically the inner tail pipes and pipes are always on and are muffled by the "muffler" where as the outer tail pipes and pipes are both controlled by a valve. That valve is synchronized with the valve command that works when you put your vehicle in sport or sport plus.

MPE:
Driver's side tip and exhaust flow is constantly going through the muffler for maximum deadening. MPE has a single valve on the passenger side. When it is closed it forces ALL exhaust gas into the muffler and out the drivers side (1 tip functional). When open the drivers side exhaust gasses still go through the muffler, albeit a much shorter journey, for less deadening then when the valve is closed and a more aggressive sound. From a flow stand point between the 2 tips you are looking at 100% driver side / 0% passenger side when the valve is closed and 60% driver side / 40% passenger side (roughly) when the valve is open due to the distance in the journey within the can piping.

Dinan:
Adds a second valve so both sides are fully functional (1 tip on either side when valves are closed or all 4 tips when the valves are open). The result is even flow regardless of valve position. When open the gases almost entirely bypass the muffler for maximum sound (nearly straight pipe).

are there any pics of the tips pushed in more? i'm not sure i'm crazy about the look about the tips being out as much as they are i feel like it would be a lot more subtle pushed in a bit more

I do not. Keep in mind most, if not all, of the photos are with the exhaust hot and at full "growth." The tips are clamp-on's though so you are free to move them back as much as you want if you want to tuck them further in.

What size inlet do the tips use? After seeing these pictures I think I would prefer to swap some smaller tips if I purchase
