I know...another wheels/tires fitment question again!!

Hi Guys,

I've looked every thread and googled the s*it out of but can't seem to found an exact answer to my question.

I have a 2011 BMW 328i Xdrive sedan completely stock. I was running OEM staggered wheels Fr: 17x8 - ET34 - 225/45zr/17 and Rr: 17x8.5 - ET37 or 39? - 255/40zr/17.

I'm looking to switch to Fr: 18x8 - ET35 - 225/40zr/18 and Rr: 18x9 - ET40 - 255/35zr/18

Would this fit perfect, no rubbing of x-y-z with our without people in the back (which I hardly have but just in case). Front is a go back not sure at all of the back???

Your help/input is at much appreciated!!!

Can't speak directly to your planned sizing, but I have aftermarket wheels on my 2011 335i xdrive, which I assume has the same fitment, so I will share what worked for me!

I decided to get 4 identical wheels to support rotating them as well as reduced understeer. Size is 18x9 et35 with 255/35-18 tires. I then use 10mm spacers for the rear wheels, which brings them flush with the fenders.

Best of luck!

Perhaps asking a Moderator to move this to the Tire and Wheel Section would get the desired response.

I thought you weren't supposed to run a staggered setup on AWD?

@ Alpine
Yes you can run Staggered on AWD. My car came directly from BMW like that....but it is an option you need to add and precise sizing you need to respect for trans case.

It came brand new from dealer with selected option: Fr: 17x8 - ET34 on 225/45zr/17 and Rr: 17x8.5 - ET37 or 39 not sure? on 255/40zr/17

The fronts will be okay but I have concerns about the rear fitment being at +40. Might rub on the caliper or strut tower because it isn't aggressive enough. Worse case you just run a rear spacer at 8-10mm which isn't a big deal

Also, this link comes up occasionally here on the forum, but bears repeating here. Lots of good information, whether or not you buy Apex wheels (though I do have them on my '08 and they are awesome).
