How Hard/Expensive to Replace Interior Trim?

Looking at a used 340i that has everything I want except it has the awful high gloss fake brown wood interior trim. How expensive/difficult is that to replace w/ OEM hex or natural wood? Or if I do get the vehicle should I just wrap it?

i would just wrap it - so many nice options these days. I was in the same situation a number of years ago with an e90 - car was perfect rare and what i wanted - however had gloss brown wood trim - i wrapped it in piano black (a desirable choice back then) and it looked wonderful

I would wrap it as well. Especially since the OEM options aren't that great anyways in my opinion (the hex one looks really weird). I got the open pore wood, but it looks and feels a bit fake to me. I would just it wrapped in a dark metal look and it would be A LOT cheaper.

M-performance carbon fiber trim goes for like $1300 I think for the whole set

BMW quoted me $2395 + $750 installation for the open pore Oak... pass. That’s just ridiculous. I can get a used car for $3k!

What? It's a free option though.

I’m buying off the lot since they cancelled my order... that’s the cost of I wanted to replace to aluminum.

I recently fitted the OEM carbon interior on my G20. There is a brief guide in the DIY section

IMO OEM is the best option but at a cost. Just the interior (6 parts) cost £750 in the UK. Glad I upgraded though.

Wow that's crazy! You could get your entire car wrapped (interior and exterior) for that price!

Putting it in perspective... 2 square ft of carbon fiber for $3k lol, it’s absolutely ridiculous. I’ve always wondered how someone could spend $1k on a purse but this is more dumb.

So has anyone come across a high quality wrap kit?

Has anyone heard of or had success with this supplier?

Can't say I have & although I can say for certain the price is really good I don't see what makes this stand out from any of the other kits you'll find on AE or Wish.

Sorry did you mean price “isn’t” really good? The range seems all over the map... this pricing seems to be in the middle. I’m hopeful someone out there has come across quality trim with perfect figment and can report back. Most of what I find online have no reviews at all which seems sketchy.

No the price is good. Maybe to good as the description suggests it is 3M'd on to your existing trim, which some people might be happy with but I would not be personally and yes I know exactly what you mean on the review side of things and would think surely it can't be that far down the line that someone like IND produce their own carbon trim.

Yikes. They were definitely trying to price gouge you on that one. My custom order G20 was incorrectly built with high gloss wood trim, and i made the dealer swap it out for the open pore oak that I'd actually ordered. My sales guy showed me the zero'ed out invoice that was generated for it internally and it was barely $1500...and he said that included their install labor charge. And btw I have the ambient lighting package, so that included the dash trim piece with embedded LED lights. Without the LEDs I assume it would be a little cheaper but not sure.
