The X7 looks really good on the road. Every time I see one it catches my attention. So does the Dravit(?) gray 7 Series.

It's amazing how I feel about the X7 now. At lanuch, I thought it looked horrible with those slim lights, outrageously large kidney grills and bus size proportions.

But having seen it in person several times in detail at my local dealer (although haven't seen any one the road!), it does look pretty good and does have immense road presence.

X7 M would be cool..

X7 is the best large size SUV I have ever driven. You will have both comfort and handling even with the base model.

I didn't care for the X7 nor the new 7 very much initially, but I've grown to like them both after seeing them on the road (...especially in colors that really complement the body styles). It becomes apparent that BMW hit the mark when you see one of them parked/driving next to other offerings in the same category. They just look bolder and they definitely have more presence.

Hated the X7 at launch too, but have since come to love it. In person it really does look less goofy. Great car, love ours

It's amazing that most of these people citing sound aren't driving Mustangs. Mustangs sound better than most cars right out of the box. Maybe the people who hate the sound of BMW's should go hit up their nearest Ford dealership.

I was mostly indifferent to the styling of the X7 when it was unveiled. I knew in typical BMW fashion it would be handsome and would look better in real life than in photos; and that's exactly what happened. This thing looks great in real life. The front is menacing with the big kidneys and slim headlights. The kidneys in the 7er are comically large but in the X7 they work.

No I mean 1/10. Did we watch the same video? It is normal that from the cabin you are not going to hear the engine considering that this is a luxury car not made for being sporty. The sound is shite when he stops under the bridge.

Well, I think it has fantastic V8 sound. He did roll down all the windows under the bridge thats why it sounded a little loud inside!

I know some people have an affinity for more robust exhaust sounds. I totally get it. For me, my M50i is a good middle ground. Comfort is subdued; however sport and sport+ have a nice growl when you punch it. People definitely look at the car when I give it some gas in sport mode .
