What size wheels can II use on 19x9.5 all around? M340 x drive

Hi guys,
Wanted to know if it would be safe for me to run 235/35/19 (fr) and 255/35/19 on x drive? I just got my new wheels shipped to me 19x9.5 all around.

What is the offset? That is pretty wide and you have to make sure you have enough room up front.

It's only a 1/2" but will the different overall tire heights work with the x-drive?

Hmm I’m afraid that your inset in the front wheels are too big and it’s going to rub against the front struts. Your new wheels’ inset are 155.7mm which is 27.1mm Closer to the strut compared to stock. I am running a square 9 et30 and I ended up running 3mm spacers up front because even mine were sitting too close for comfort. So mine are now 9 et27, which gives me an inset of 141.3mm (12.7mm closer to strut than stock).

You are running 235 up front so that should help with clearance but also give you a stretch look on 9.5.

Did you try a test fit with the wheels to make sure you have enough clearance up front?

Yea I'm thinking I need to run 5mm spacers up front to clear , I'm just afraid of what size tires I should get, thinking of just going square setup

I see, right now the difference in diameter is >2% which is not recommended for X-drive. So i think your safer bet would be to go 235/40 or even 245/35 as these have difference in diameter of 1.4% and 1.1% respectively, much safer choices for the x-drive differential.

Also if you are okay with going square setup then do it so you can also rotate all 4 tires. That’s what I did, and I am running 255/35/19 in all 4.

I would love to see the new setup with the 255/35/19.

Spot on, love the setup. Have you considered the diamond grill with black surround and Cerium grey inserts. It would set off the wheels perfect.

Thank you! Yeah the tires tuck in a bit but the actual wheel sticks out couple mm pass the top fender line so I am pretty happy with the way it sits (not a huge fan of too much poke). May lower it in the future but also worried about the deterioration in ride quality. (I lowered my last car and the shocks wore out much quicker and of course a hit to the ride quality) If anything I think coilovers are ultimately the way to go.

As far as the grill, the car actually came with the black grill from factory as an "extra" option. I actually would consider getting the all black diamond grill but can't quite justify spending money to go from all black classic slats to the diamond lol.

Also, in person the gray of the wheels and the cerium gray accents do not actually match. I am in the process of trying to get rid of all cerium gray accents on the car lol. First, got the black lower grill accents and have some black mirror caps coming in soon too

i totally understand about the lowering options, i debated on lowering my 7 series once I changed my wheels but everyone said it looked OK the way it was. You don't want to change the characteristics either and I believe it will ruin the reasons you chose it over an M3. I see some other options on BMW parts pros and ebay for grill options and will decide when i finally order my car. Happy motoring and I will follow you on Instagram until I get to post my car.

Looks great. Did you end up having any inner clearance issues with front shocks?

For xDrive i'd try to get as close to the same diameter as possible. Looks like stock 225/40/19 and 255/35/19 have only 0.1" of difference in diameter.
