All I can describe them is as harder. IMO I wouldn't get them again. They handle like a dream but aren't very comfortable. It's not unbearable but is noticeably harsher. I would go with FSDs or stock if I did it again.

Yep. There's really no other way than driving one or going all-in. It all depends on your personal goals, preferences, and tolerances. Since mine is a DD I learned that I would like something a little softer. 90% of the time I'm driving on straight roads to and from work.
I can at least tell you the handling is awesome. It's flat and direct. |

This is similar to what I have, although I got my set for quite a bit less because they had 10k miles on them:

What NBA said. Wish I went with FSDs over my B8s. They handle amazingly when I need it but they're not very comfortable. It's my daily and the western CO roads are pretty rough so it'd be nice if they were a little softer.

I know this sounds counterintuitive, but when I was running HD's with my stock sport springs the ride was very crash-y. Bumps were harsh and violent. Things like old bridge expansion joints would feel like my dash was about to hit the windshield.
I recently changed over to Swift spec R springs, and have found the impact absorption much less violent. Said expansion joints are still a hit, but with way less crash. Yet the ride is more firm. I chalk that up to better matched damping to spring rates. Don't think I am suggesting my car drives like a Camry! Lol. My wife hates driving in it. |

I need to revamp my suspension too, not going for anything crazy. After all the research I've done it seems the best would be to get a set of Bilstein B4 shocks, Eibach Pro-Kit springs, and the Z4/E36 M3 bumpstomps.

And a tad bit lower thats why i want B8s sigh this is hard. Some say its good and others say its harsh. I really wanna test drive one

When I bought my 2006 330i it came with Bilstein's HD with 20k of use. On flat surfaces they were amazing, great stability and handling. But in town they were terrible. I ended up selling them and installing four new OEM Sachs since I prefer comfort and drive 90 per cent of the time on town roads. Sometimes, on highways and on very good condition roads and corners, I miss them.

Get the Eibach Pro-Plus Kit. Comes with Springs and two anti-roll bars. I think it's $550 on tirerack right now.

I'm currently refreshing the suspension on my 2008 335i with sport package, using Bilstein B8's. I'll let you know in a couple of weeks when I'm up and running

Koni yellows. What you want is a set up that’s OEM like but better. It was designed 13 years ago by Dinan and utilizes the Koni Yellows. Just source all the bit NOT through Dinan and save a ton of money and be happy. |

I have Bilsteins on my car, but the only issue is im also on H&R race springs and then on 19 inch wheels... so the ride is a bit stiff of course. In all reality the bilsteins control the ride very well and are great at cornering and maintaining body control.

I'm not in your area...but I have the B8's on my car. The ride is pretty firm...not harsh, but very firm. On smooth roads I love them....but on roads with pot holes and other rough areas, it's a pretty rough ride sometimes.
I've never driven the car with anything else on it....so I don't really know how to compare them, other than to my worn out oem shocks.
