The RS5 is what the M4 should be

It is NOT just the BIG grille . . . it is an UGLY-ASS grille . . . AND demasculinized shell of a formerly beastly BMW offering.

The Audi RS5 front grille is huge, sporty and enticing . . . in fact, the RS5 is what the M4 should be. . . what the M4 once was.

You mean what, a big heavy understeering pig? That’s not what I expect an M4 to be...

I think he's only referring to design, not handling/drivetrain characteristics.

Let's hope that M-division can work some magic with the AWD version.

Almost every AWD car I've driven understeered like a pig.

Can

Well, rather than going back and forth about the RS5 vs M4, let me just say . . .

Hold on to that sweet-ass M4CS, and we will just leave it at that.

The times I’ve been positively surprised walking into an Audi dealer can be counted on half a hand but when I saw the new RS5 was such a time. It had the “I want it” impact.

That quickly vanished though when I sat in it, as usual it felt like an overstyled kids toy and not a serious tool as M cars usually do, though the new digital gauges and red M buttons is narrowing the gap a little. Still the exterior of the RS5 is now tidy, crisp and exciting for the first time.
