ZF8 Transmission Magnetic Drain Plug

Getting ready to do my transmission fluid change but was curious to know if there was a magnetic drain plug that's compatible w/ the ZF8 tranny fluid pan. I've seen ones marketed for the engine oil and rear diff, but haven't seen one for the tranny.

Has anyone successfully done this or know if it's possible? If so, what are the specs for the plug?

I believe there should be a magnetic strip in the bottom of the filter housing to begin with.

Oh, sweet. If that's the case, then no magnetic plug needed. Can anyone confirm?

Sweet - thanks! Was definitely planning on getting this for my diff, but did not realize it fit the tranny fluid pan as well.

Yes. In fact, there are two. I just had the trans servieced on my car and ordered the parts myself. Upon examination, there are two rectangular magnets inside the pan assembly.

You can see them in this image. They are the two rectangular "thingies" with slots on opposite sides of oil pan.
