Experiences with FTP, BMS, VRSF, AA Charge Pipe?
Hello everyone, I read all of the charge pipe related discussions and I still can't really decide which one to get. From what I gathered:
1. FTP (Probably most recommended, most commented for good fitment and quality) 2. VRSF or AA. (Really no suggestion of it not fitting well for both, some concerns with the coating coming off on the VRSF but really no other notable issues) 3. BMS (Literally no information, I couldn't find any reference of anyone with a F87 M2 installing this, only on a M235i) I'm still very much on the fence and don't know which one to get. But from what I seen so far, my conclusion is that between FTP, VRSF or AA, they all fit well and shouldn't be any issues? Just wanted to reach out before I pull the trigger on one of them. Thanks |

Apparently, VSRF has fitment issues:

Interesting, thanks for the information! I did just run into CTS CP as well after I posted. Seems like I'll be deciding between FTP, CTS and AA.

I switched from VRSF to FTP and couldn't be happier. The FTP pipes went on without any issues and I didn't have to fight with them.
They have a different O-Ring design and the overall quality of the charge pipes is considerably better than VRSF.

correct I heard the same thing, I think they fixed it now but I don't know for sure. BMS pipe fits fine from what I have seen locally, so imo no real concerns if you want one OP.

I would of hit the celling, I tore a few vendors a new one, for sending me parts that vary from the description, that's totally unacceptable, as a functioning business. I know that with aftermarket pipes, there is a specification on RWD & AWD N55s but aside from that, I heard numerous times of fitment issues, from this company. I'm not even trying to knock them, everyone's got eat too but merely calling it like I see it and I'm sure there are some shops, with fit-challenge parts can fabricate it to work but its a gamble. That's one thing that really turns me off with aftermarket parts, the potential fitment issue and possible having to revisit the same job you've already competed it. I like a well-performance vehicle, as much as the next guy but the headache is what I try to avoid, as you can't put a price on peace of mind. |

I noted your location being Australia meaning your steering racking is on the right side of the car so you would not have any issues. This is because the issue with VRSF charge pipe was that it would rub on the steering output shaft going from the fire wall to the EPS servo motor, this would be a non issue on RHD cars as that steering output shaft would be on the opposite side.

VRSF, Active Autowerke and Evolution Racewerks all fit without any issues. I have personally sold hundreds of them.
