X4 M40d water in boot when opened

Anyone else have water pour into the boot after opening after it has rained?

Is this a common problem?

Any known fixes?

Yes it's a big boot and gravity seems to mean some water drips in, or do you mean more than a drip?

I had the same problem on our previous model X4...a fair bit if i remember correctly.

Never managed to get sorted before we sold

Is it water leaking in when the rear tailgate's closed, or is it water dribbling back into the boot when you open the tailgate?

I notice the latter after I wash my car. I think a fair bit of water gets caught around the top of the tailgate/spoiler? Then it trickles back into the boot when I open the tailgate.

Otherwise you could also have a leak related to sunroof drain?
