RPM surge with AC on
Hey guys, now that summer is upon us my AC is getting a real workout in these days. Today I parked my car at work and turned up the AC all the way for a few minutes. After a few seconds, my RPMs surged from 650-700 all the way to 1200 for a few seconds then dipped back down to normal. This continued to happen a few times over the next 2 minutes.
I did notice a constant sound from the blower motor, almost as if something was stuck inside. RPMs only surge when AC is close to full blast and in park/idle. I turned off re-circulation mode and it didnt seem to surge as much. Has anyone experienced this issue? Belts, Throttle Body, Vacuum lines all look good.
