Need help with adjustable suspension

Anyone with experience raising/lowering coilover suspension please please chime in! I've got the Bilstein B14/B16 PSS4 installed on my xDrive. What I'd like to do is raise it about an inch all around. Searched web, youtube, and here to get definitive which way do I turn the spanner wrench but everyone is saying different things. Please help a brotha out...thanks in advance.

Bilstien use 2 locking perches... unlock those 2 with the tool that came with the suspension. Upper perch clockwise and lower perch counterclockwise.

Then adjust up and down to desire height. Remember this doing this on the front will increase preload or make the spring loose. I can't remember if the bilstien come with fully adjustable body.

The rear is simple ... it's the same but you don't have to worry about preload.

Turning the lower perch clockwise will lower it, turning it counter clockwise will raise the vehicle.

Then lock them together by turning the upper perch clockwise while holding the lower in place.

The rear is the same since it has no locking perch.

Great thanks. That's what 3/5 results turned up. So, if I'm sitting at the wheel hub looking dead straight at the front/rear coils, turning the spanner wrench to the right would raise that corner. Conversely, turning the wrench to the left would lower that corner. What I worked out for the time being is right is raise and left is lower.

Having said that, my rear perch is barely showing 1/4" of thread but the vehicle would not raise even a mm...do you know why this would be? Could it be that I have to turn the perch to expose more thread in order to raise?

Turning right would lower. Turning left would raise.

Imagine you're looking at the strut straight down standing up to help you visualize.

If none of this helps just count threads on the front since the spring isn't obstructing your view.

Yup that's exactly what I'm doing. It's working for the front but not the rears. Not sure why. But thanks for confirming

The rear should move the same direction as the bottom perch from the front.

The reason it looks different to you because it's inverted

For the rear counter clockwise will lower. Clockwise will raise.

You're right! I just read that at Bilstein's site. I think I've been lowering it instead of raising the rears...gonna give it another try tomorrow. Thanks man
