Changed my oil last 3k miles ago, oil level was checked prior to change right now and it was at the full mark.

The oil is pretty much red?

I used liquimoly 5w-30 longtime high tech (baby blue bottle)

I realized after the last change it was only LL-04 approved and not the correct LL-01 (my last bmw was a diesel so I forgot) hence the early change.

Any ideas? Also no, this isn't the transmission it's an xDrive hence the metal sump.

Just did my oil 2 days ago. Same result but only at the end of the drip.

That's pretty standard color for used oil that's not run too long and it'll always look a little red on the pan like that. If you want to know what the color truly is grab some white paper towels and just dab them on the pan near the drip or in the drain pan.

It looks near the same on a paper towel, I've changed oil this early numerous times, it's either still golden or has a brownish tint. This almost looks like a used transmission fluid color. I guess I'll just wait till the next change.

Honestly, might be how the light hits it. Prior to this oil change i've never seen my oil kinda reddish either. I feel like this time the sun was kind of hitting it in a way that brightened it to a reddish tint.
