Short Shifter Install help?

Looking into ordering an Auto solutions SSK sometime in the next couple weeks and i've already called a few shops in my local area for install quotes. They're asking a lot of money for what seems to be a straightforward (although kinda time consuming and pain in the ass) job. I've been trying to find install guides but there doesn't seem to be many conclusive ones. Does anyone have advice for how to do this?

I followed this guide for the most part. The install isn't overly difficult if you're mechanically inclined. There's just a lot that needs to be removed to gain access to the shifter and it's in a tight location.
