Chassis function restricted drive moderately

What's going on everyone.

I have just install BC Coilovers on my 428i Coupe M-Package and the shop told me i will have an error message that is "chassis function restricted drive moderately".

Has anyone else gotten is error message after installing coilovers and how could i fix this problem. Currently out of warranty as well. Thanks.

have you scanned for codes, or checked if their is an error in the idrive vehicle status?

Without scanning for codes first, it would be difficult to identify the next steps.

If your car is already beyond the warranty period, investing in a code scanner is a good idea.

Was the battery disconnected during the install? And if yes has the car been driven since?

I ask because a lot of the times I disconnect the battery and hook it back up. I will get that warning light and after driving the car for a minute it will go away.

Had this happen at a tint shop as well when they hooked up a battery charger to the wrong negative spot under the hood. when away as well after driving the car.

Unless you also installed an EDC cancellation kit? There's the problem. You can either purchase one or have it coded out.

The shop unplugged your electronic dampers, installed coilovers, threw everything back together and couldn't figure out why they had a drivetrain error?
