But is the tune necessary?

To max gains, absolutely. All of those mods won't give you much w/o tune.

Any reason you don't want to tune?

The tune will allow your vehicle to run optimally for the mods that you're about to add.

Dont think of a tune as a sure fire way to blow up your engine. That's only it you beat on the car. With proper care and maintenance... a FBO tuned vehicle can last just as long if not longer that a stock vehicle. Biggest things are proper warm up/cool down and timely oil changes.

Of course Im talking about OTS flash tunes like those offered by Bootmod3. Not "custom crack pot, I need to shave a few tenths off my 1/4 mile" flash tune.

Not to blow engine lol. It's an n20 engine so they can't hack much, so I've read. If I do follow thru, it would have to be only stage 1, heard stage 2 blows the engine

OTS tunes, even stage 2 is well within the engines capability. Very safe to run, only downside is more frequent maintenance. All your bolt ons you named is what keeps the tune safe.

I want more HP, obviously, but I want the longevity of this vehicle. I mean it's pretty quick compared to any other car I've had but at the same time I'm not much of a fast type guy. But dang recently, I've been feigning for just a bit more power lol. Especially after ordering F80 conversion front bumper lol

So why not do a stage 1 tune, pretty sure it would gain you more compared to just bolt ons.

I'm just skeptical to tuning the vehicle and want it to last a long time really. I mean I wouldn't mind spending 1k for like 40 HP lol, if that's what I can get out of the bolt ons I listed

Gotcha, maybe run to a piggyback with your bolt ons? Minimal engine change.

A piggyback is something that'll slap onto a MAP sensor on your chargepipe, gives you minimal gains and is safe for the car.

You should be safe running stage 1 with an upgraded chargepipe. This is a good idea for wanting a little more power and keeping the car reliable

Now let's say after sometimes you're used to the power and want more power. Add the rest of your mods to the car and get stage 2. And of course more power require more maintenance.

I hope this answer your questions OP.
