Looking to buy a G30/G31 AUC in UK. Pre-LCI 17/18 plate most likely. Can someone help me navigate the weird and wonderful world of the various packs available at that time? Ideally an exact list of what was included in: Comfort Pack, Visibility Pack, Tech Pack, M Sport Plus Pack, etc.

I've been on the current configurator but assume that there have been changes since the LCI has launched, and google hasn't been very helpful for UK specs. Reading the US literature it sounded like remote parking was standard, but I doubt it was in the UK. Was remote parking included in any packs or only as individual option?

Any other general advice from owners as to what they wish they had spec'd or what they can't live without, are also welcome.

My only hesitation was the paint and leather choice, but in hindsight I should have snapped this up.

I've noticed that some dealers are not consistent with the "optional equipment" lists and simply put the pack...which is why I wanted to know the exact contents of each pack.

Did you order new or buy used? Is it possible they were spec'd individually and not as a full pack?

Yep, totally agree. My September 2017 540i has the Comfort pack but no sunroof...

You really should have snapped up that 540i. Its hard to find a great condition one with all of those options...

AUC is normally 1yr from the date of purchase, unless original manufacturer warranty remains. Was this 3 years from the time you bought used? If so, impressive negotiations!

Yep the AUC tops up and remaining warranty so you get 1 full year.

Halliwell Jones three in a further 2 years warranty that is more comprehensive than the AUC. It’s the same warranty sold by Sytner and few other dealers.

Always worth asking for what extras they will throw in.

In the US, most advertisements list the VIN. If they do in the UK as well, you can use one of the VIN identifiers to see a list of all the features on the car.

Unfortunately only the registration plate here and not possible to get vin from plate unless you know someone at bmw. At that point it's just as easy for me to call the dealership and ask. Thx tho
