Have there been any ECU/TCU updates since release?
Hey all, curious to know if there have been any ECU or TCU updates since the 2018's were initially released?
I asked if there were any would they have been done during the certification process and they said they would, along with idrive updates...however I did have an available idrive update I did myself so I can only assume that means any potential ECU/TCU updates were also probably not done. Not sure if worth even validating with a tech. Thanks in advance. |

Programming update would be required at the dealer. This is also not covered under warranty unless programming is being done for something else. You could however ask to pay for a programming update. Usually dealers charge 1.0-1.5 hour for a customer pay program |

I'm an IT guy so I think it's written into my brain to desire the latest version of something, sometimes to my detriment. Thank you for the info! |

Not sure if this is what you are looking for but my local coding guy recently mentioned there is a new version out which allows things like sports + driving mode and launch control for cars who did not have it previously along with gearbox updates, xdrive software updates and steering software updates.
How much difference they make is another question... |
