My media stops when I start taking photos/videos in my 520!
Hello,
I have a 2020 520i and I can't seem to be able to take any videos/ photos with my music on LOL! I know it's silly but SO annoying. The media disconnect from the surround system and somehow gets played again with weird quality as if it's from my phone (while in the video itself sound like I'm playing nothing!) I can't seem to find a solution. I tried different apps and they all do the same. Any idea? |

Are you trying to take pictures while driving? If so, please stay far away from my state.

2. I meant any phone that happens to be connected as the carplay phone or connected with bluetooth. It could be mine while I'm parked or simply someone else's phone who's in a passenger seat. Don't see any problem honestly and that wasn't the point at all! |

I have an iPhone and when I play music connected to any Bluetooth or just on the phone itself and take a video the music stops until the camera app is closed. I don't believe it happens during still photos. So I don't think it necessarily has anything to do with your car.

Try this, and you'll notice the same behavior (at least I do with my iPhone). Connect up to a BT headset and start playing music. Open the camera and switch to video (don't even start recording) - the audio will stop.
