Car service

I have had my car serviced but instead of saying 18000 for the next service the counter is on 16000 has anyone seen this before?

Just had my first Oil Change Service and the counter went up from 10,000 miles previously to 11,000 miles this time. Date reminder stayed the same at 12 months.

it's based upon how it is driven. (I'm guessing fuel consumption, the lower implying more cold starts, start -stop, more aggressive driving or fast driving hence more wear).

I wouldn't worry about it
