Valet mode

Is there any way to make valet mode a permanent option in the screen that comes up when you turn off the car? From that screen you can click on settings then display valet mode option and then exit back to the exit screen and then click on the valet mode button (above or below where the precondition button is). So I do this each time I park the car in my valet garage. Then the next time I drive the valet mode option shows up but then if I don’t choose it when I exit the car (not needed when I self park in the office or self park at my next destination) then the next time I drive and power down the car (say when I return home to my valet garage) I have to go through the options screen again to enable valet mode. Is this by design for some reason? Or a bug? Does anyone have an idea of how to make it always show on the power down screen regardless of whether I used valet mode at the end of my previous drive?

I was wondering the same thing. You select the option for it to show on the exit screen but the setting doesn't seem to stick.

I found the best workaround is just to move the idrive controller up or swipe down from the top of the screen and the valet mode option is all the way on the right.

Ah, didn't realize the valet mode option was in the top menu bar, good call -- thanks!

Can you assign it to a shortcut? One of the 1-8 (or 10?) buttons?

Nope, at least not as far as I can tell. Selecting it from the drop down bar at the top of the screen is easy enough tho.

Oh FYI I just got updated to 3/2020.69 and it looks like the valet mode option at the exit screen setting works now.
