Xenon to adaptive Xenon
Hi guys,
One of my pre-LCI F33 headlights is smashed beyond repair after an accident and needs replacing. The current headlights are static Xenons. I have an option to buy a set of pre-LCI adaptive Xenons for a pretty good deal. In fact I bought one already and only then figured out it is adaptive. I can get the 2nd one as well. How hard is it to convert from Xenon to adaptive Xenon? I plugged in the adaptive one I bought and only have low-beam and turn signal. No high-beam, no angel eyes and the car throws and error. I can see that the plug is the same but different pins are used between the lights. My car has ride-height sensors front and rear already and surround camera if that helps. It doesn't have the automatic high-beam button on the stalk but I'm not too fussed about that function. Thanks Pete Last edited by Mongobear; 07-11-2020 at 09:40 PM.. |

Not really getting anywhere with that. Does anyone have the pinout for the standard Xenons and the adaptive Xenons. I can only fine the LED pinout on Newtis.

Thanks mate, I found that before but it says the pinout is the same which it isn't unfortunately. Same amount of wires being used but different PINs.
Been searching high and low for the past days but can't find what I need. I'm sure it's possible but just don't know what wire needs to go where. Thanks for searching anyway, appreciate it. |

Yeah, I've seen that but the pinout is definitely different on both lights. Probably an easy fix but can't find the info on what cable does what and needs to route where.
I've messaged the guy from the other thread, He hasn't been active in almost a year but hope is last to die ... |
