+1. I'm very disappointed. Its just physically impossible for the heavy lower powered GT-R to be faster than the lighter more powered LP560-4.

But I guess it has to do with the tranny and the awesome oil pressurized suspension system of the GT-R.

But Lambo all the way for me!!!!

Look at the way he drove the LP560. He let off sooo much more than all the others. He also seemed to lift off on the straightaway where he didn't in the others. I dunno. I've seen the LP best the GTR in many other comparos.

LP 560 is so beautiful.
And I was disappointed too about it being axed by GTR but then I read the weight and I was shooked to notice that it weighed a hefty 3765 pounds....no joke...check out 'roadandtrack' latest road test on it.Thats like less then 200 pounds of GTR.
BTW, just for the heck of it, anyone has any numbers of LP-560 track time for Nurburg??

And offtopic question, how do I embedd that video.....the codes given on top of this thread...

Looked up 'Ring times for the LP560, closest thing to any sort of info was a mf. claim of 7:40. The GTR does it in 7:38, so I'd say pretty darn similar. Two seconds of difference could be made depending on hundreds of variables.

Oh damn. Well, guess there is a big difference after all. We still haven't seen a true lap of the LP560 (as far as I know). I want to see one.

remember the dyno tests where the GTR registered more than 500+ hp?!??! thus i don't think that one should use the Lambo-has-more-horsepower-so-it-should-win argument. plus the GT-R is a marvelous piece of engineering (not to take anything away from the LP 560-4).
But if I had to pick one of the two to put in my garage I would undoubtedly choose the Lambo

Yeah, but if i had a choice, i would take the GTR and the $130,000 saved from not taking the LP560.
