ECS 10mm Spacer not sitting flush on VMR wheels

Hi Guys,

I purchased a set of standard 10mm hubcentric spacers with extended lugs from ECS tuning a while back and wanted to put them on my car. The car has VMR v703 19 inch wheels but for some reason, the side of the spacer that faces the wheel does not sit flush on 2 of the wheels (can see slight wabble on the wheel when driving). I'm not sure if its a manufacturing/machining defect on the rim itself but is there a way to even out the "ring" that sits inside the wheel? Or rather than filing out the inside of the wheel ring, is there some sort of rubber washer I can put to fill in the gaps? Thanks

I had the same issues with the same spacers and wheels. I had them mail me new spacers bc I could feel it when driving in the steering wheel.

Thanks for your responses. I went back to ECS tuning and asked them to send me the 12mm spacers (12.5mm technically) so hopefully that fixes the issue.

Cool, I found out the hard way. Thankfully it was at the end of the driveway and nothing was damaged except the spacers.

I don't understand why vendors even sell 10 mm spacers. Nothing but problems on the e39 chassis also.

This makes me eager to install my 10mm spacers up front. Can't wait! 😒
