Hi guys
Do these buggers pop out in the heat? We've had 100f and 3 odd days of 95f. Or has some scum nicked it? I have a camera will review it I'm sure I'd have seen it on my pizza express takeaway trip last night. I will try and find part number but expecting 100 squids easy. Maybe I can buy it back on eBay |

https://shop.bmw.co.uk/INTERSHOP/web...-Teile_Welt-UK Probably cheaper to get an independent bodyshop to paint it for you. |

Ordered part from Thames Ditton bmw 24 quid and 20 odd for spray and laquer Lady in parts said this was pretty common (in demand part) the cover had a cable attached to stop it fully coming out so perhaps it was nicked. Also that the car could be pulled to a trailer!! Doubt that as it's middle of suburbia and the alarm would go. Would be easier to break in and get keys god forbid Last edited by dazzapb; 08-12-2020 at 03:40 PM.. Reason: grammar |

Heard from neighbourhood watch lady who passed on message from police. Quite a few thefts like this that night in the area. Heard a few mopeds that night too.
next Tuesdays Such a shame my 1 year old managed to disable my POE cctv camera that night only!!!! |

Hi guys pretty happy with the results. Got the paint from car paints online impressed with their service
I did about 5 light coats of base and lacquer. I do think I need to get scratch X out to give a wet shiny look but will wait for lacquer to dry out completely or maybe more lacquer . Thanks for the help |

I think that looks like an excellent result. I'd shy away from doing a DIY spray on a panel, but I would do it on a small stand alone plastic piece like you have done, so well done.
I tarted up a carbon fibre 3T seatpost on one of my bikes recently. The surface was badly scored and the decals were flaking off. I sanded it back with a fine sanding bloc to remove the surface decals and scoring, then gave it 3 thin coats of clear lacquer from a spray can and it looks fabulous. Like new, minus decals. Really easy and a great result |
