Recommended Spark Plugs

Hey guys, I got a 2016 BMW 340i xDrive with chargepipe, downpipe, agency power intake & Stage 2 tune on BM3

Looking for the best spark plugs to use with my current set up. Links would be helpful

Also, spark plugs need to be gapped correct?

If the B58 section is anything like the N55, this question has probably been beaten to death. I would start with a google search, then perhaps a targeted search on the forums.

Be prepared to here a bunch of different opinion after reading dozens of threads and finding no conclusive 'best' plug.

Also, BM3 should have recommendations, and drawing on my N55 guidance, i would say run fresh stock plugs unless you have issues with them...

Most plugs come pre-gapped to specifications, but I always check just to make sure.

Jordantuned suggests the 2020 oem supra spark plugs gapped to .022” for pump gas, .020” for ethanol on my tuned 340i

Copy that guys, will do some more research. Thanks. I guess there is no "best" spark plug like the other person stated.

Was just hoping for some feedback from people running similar setup

Buy the plugs...and all other parts from FCP Euro. They will come pre-gapped and all their stuff has a lifetime warranty.

I recently bought their entire plug kit, which came with new plugs and coils.

I ordered ngk 94201 “1 step colder than stock” plugs from fcp euro, gapped then to the recommend .022” and honestly the car ran better with stock champion plugs at stock gap. Car ran great with bm3 stg2 then after switching plugs it feels like the car is ever so slightly breaking up towards redline.

This is precisely the reason i always recommend fresh stock plugs first, then going to a colder plug with a smaller gap only if you have issues. Stock plugs are typically fine for a FBO + tuned car. If you have upgraded turbo, meth, etc, then perhaps other plugs are in order.

I just placed an order for new spark plugs & coil packs from FCPEuro.

"BMW Direct Ignition Coil - Bosch 0986221124KT1"

"BMW SILZKGR8B8S Spark Plug - NGK 94201"

Hopefully I got the right setup/parts?
