Has anyone done charge pipes on the m2 while on ramps?
Just curious if anyone here has done chargepipes on the m2 with the car supported on ramps?
The reason why I ask is because I wanted to remove the front stiffening plate as well to install a turbo inlet, diverter valve, and flush the coolant but I am concerned if the suspension was supposed to be not loaded while the plate was removed since ISTA says you cannot drive without the plate on. Looking forward to some feed back, thanks!

I did it on ramps. I think you're supposed to remove/install with the suspension loaded. I did get replacement bolts though since they are TTY and are only supposed to be used once. A lot of people end up reusing and don't have issues.

ISTA mentions to support the car but only shows it being done via a lift by the jack points, so that is why I was worried. Also yes I have 8 new bolts on preorder from the USA because it is $22/bolt here at my local dealer which is crazy. For anyone who cares FCP has it for the cheapest price at like ~$3/bolt.

I just wanted to know if weight on the suspension put any kind of tension on the stiffening plate.

Yup just crawled under my m2 today with my 16,000 lbs rhino ramps and measured the height - you will get 32 cm of clearance from the ground to the lowest point. There is also plenty of room to get to the drain bolt, only problem is it is a far crawl back there and there is not enough room to use a creeper so I just used a piece of cardboard from a TV box and crawled back there on that.

Thank you so much for your reply! A quick question, was there any tension on the stiffening plate with the car on ramps?
