I had the wheels on my Carbon Black M50i powder coated gloss black over the weekend. I'm pleased with the look.

Great move Glenn!
BTW, I like the new larger side vents. I've been waiting on an updated post from you on those.
Can you PM some upclose pics of these new vents. Very nice!

Great pics! Were you able to keep the M logos on the rims? I want to do the same on mine very soon.

Yes, the M logos are still on the wheels and look the same as they did pre-powder coating.

$1,000 but I had it done through BMW. Probably would have been a lot less had I gone directly to a powder coater.

I imagine BMW used an outside specialty powder coat company and took a piece of the total cost for the referral. In my area, quality 4-wheel powder coating w/tire swap and mount runs $600-$800.

Correct. The dealer sent them out to a powder coater.

The larger side vents look awesome. May I ask where you got them from?

How easy/difficult is the install of the IND side vents? Time wise also?

Simple, 10 minutes. They are held in by a few clips. The replacements clip in and also have double sided tape.

looks great! i just picked up a '21 45e that had no option of 21" all black wheels during the build, so i'll hit my dealer up.

UPDATE: ended up going with Rohana flow forged matte black wheels
