CF M3 HOOD
Anyone have one? Im about to order one but Im a little concerned with fitment issues. I really dont want to deal with complications opposed to an OEM part.

Can you be more specific? Is this for an E90 or E92? I have a M3 carbon fiber hood for both that fits just fine. Let me know if you need some help.

I would only consider the vorsteiner product. It does have to be adjusted here and there to make it fit correctly. But the overall fitment is great for an aftermarket product. You just need an installer with a good eye.
The other brands...I have seen alot of fitment issues. Meaning...no matter how much you adjust, it will not look good. Plus, you end up having to do sanding, cutting, redrilling, etc. And still...have seen them look kinda fucked up.

I agree, I think Vorsteiner is going to be worth the wait. Given their reputation and experience with previous hoods, I have no doubt their product will be among the best in terms of fit, finish and strength. We have their V-35 hood on our E92 and install was a breeze, it was literally a perfect fit.

What about the hoods for the E90? Is it just me or in nearly every picture i see of them, they dont actually have the top part of the grill installed... Does it not fit right?

heres mines.. Its small gap in the middle between hood and the plastic crap on the front bumper lol..It probably would have been a more perfect fitment if I got a professional to install it, but I just did it myself to save money and i thought it was pretty close lol..

I think it would be kinda weird for someone to spend the $$ for a CF hood...but go with the chrome look on it. Black/CF goes much better.
