Transmission and Brakes for US Confirmed Orders

Hopefully we can get all the respondents in the color poll to answer here as well.

It's amazing how far we will go for clean wheels. I am even considering wrapping the whole damn car in PPF that self heals so I never have to polish it ever!

After 200km my wheels are already dirty, but black wheels would have hid it pretty well as a no cost option.

I'm sure every time I look at my dirty wheels I think about the ccb decision. However, these wheels don't appear to be the most challenging to clean. I'm really looking forward to all the CCB reviews though. I think this will be the first time that a lot of folks with the option are taking delivery around the same time.

$8500 for CCB.
Assuming $300 for a detailing job.
That's about 28 detailing jobs that can pay for.
Assuming you get 4 detailing sessions per year.

You can have a clean car AND clean wheels without you having to lift a single microfiber cloth for 7 years if a clean car is all you're looking for out of the brakes. lol

Wheels get dirty so fast that I completely understand why some folks chose the option. If it weren't for a few other concerns of mine I would have bought them also. For me, the CCB option made the car less "bullet proof". Fact or fiction, I don't know, but fortunately/unfortunately one's own perception is all that matters.

Agree with you here. I felt like getting the CCB was a decision to not track the car. If/when I do go to the track I won't be worried about cooking the CCB's.

Yep, and I thought about getting another set of rotors and pads. Then I have to schedule to trips to the shop to get things swapped bacause I don't have the time, space, or interest to do it myself.

I'm honestly surprised with this poll.

#1 Thought DCT would be leading at least 60/40
#2 Thought CCB would be closer to 10/90

Guess we'll have to wait and see as more people chime in...

Bumping this since there are a lot more votes in the color poll that might add to this.

Voted for another bump as this is interesting.

Somewhat surprised DCT + CCBs are only 6% of respondents, I see that combo a lot on Euro builds.

I'm somewhat regretting not getting the CCBs in my manual car after driving the car.
(which wasn't a custom order but a car i bought "off the lot"). The steering and road feel is amazing, but I have to imagine the weight savings could have made it even more special.

Just wanted to post that note here for anyone using this thread to make a buying decision (like i certainly did in weighing pros and cons).

Well I custom ordered and did not spec the CCBs and despite not taking delivery yet fear I will also regret it. I decided against it due to cost.

In retrospect, this will be a super low mileage garage queen with no track time so the CCBs would have been ideal. Still, the cost...
