Fuse for Steering Wheel controls?
The steering wheel buttons on my 2007 E90 do not work. I read that this may be due to a broken clock spring (coil spring?), but I thought I'd check to see if there is a fuse that controls the buttons perhaps?
The steering wheel icon on the fuse diagram in the glove box I believe is for Active Steering, not for the buttons? Or is it possible it could be a coding issue? |

Well, looks like I need to get a new Clockspring/Coilspring which I have ordered online. Will update regarding the result once I fit and test it.

I finally got the new clockspring and fitted it. However, the problem of the buttons on the steering wheel not working remains. The buttons do not light up either.
The fuse guide indicates fuse#45 and 59 with a steering icon. Fuse #45 is for active steering. I removed and replaced #59, which is 5 amp, just to check if it made any difference, but no luck. Any guidance would be much appreciated. |
