E90 Amplifier Question

Are there any cheaper sided amplifiers that fit for the 6776 Hifi system for an 08 328. I have looked on the forum and a lot of the write ups are older. What do I need to look for?

A technic harness for 676 and a 6 channel amp or amp/dsp that
has at least 50 watts a channel (with low distortion ) . The amp must accept
a differential input essentially a 5 volt speaker out signal.
The JL audio 6 channel amp 600/6 used to be the standard go to .
You will probably want better speakers with that but it will produce the biggest
change.

The car was last made in 2011 and even after that little has changed with the hi fi
system. So all the older builds are valid . The only thing is now there are more 6 and 8 channel
amps with decent power and specs with dsp built in . There are also many more plug and play
speakers that fit

Helix Audio Tech Fisher dsp amps are recommended.

a (audiotec-fisher) match UP7BMW or bimmertech premium audio will drop in directly, no harnesses needed.
huge difference in audio quality, even with stock speakers

Are there any options that are under $400 used (not including the harness price) available that people have used? $700-800 is a bit out of price range

Is the JL 600/6 not in that range used?
Has to be a v2, v1 didn't have the differential inputs.

Many amps also accept high level inputs, I wonder if that can negate the need for diff rca inputs (which aren't always common)

Greetings to all, I have a question regarding the amplifier.

I had a water problem in the section where the amplifier is and although I still have audio it does not work well, so I need to replace it. Confirm by my mechanic

My problem is that I have a question regarding the part number to find to replace.

According to my mechanic, who consulted the BMW catalog, the part number that I should look for to replace is: 65129143156.
However, when I checked the one on my BMW E90 325 2006 the code it has is: 65126960925.

Now my mechanic tells me that the part number could be updated by the BMW and that since that is the code that comes out that is the one he recommends.

Check on the Real OEM BMW page and both codes come out with the vehicle's VIN number.

My specific question is, which one should I buy and if any works for me?

I appreciate your help because I do not have the luxury of returning any purchase I live outside the USA in COSTA RICA and if I bring it and make a mistake I would lose my money. Thank you very much

I can't speak with certainty about the differing part numbers, BUT if RealOEM shows both options for your specific VIN, my guess is that either will be compatible. Maybe a call to a dealer can help.

That being said, depending on the cost to replace with an OEM amp, it just might be a better option to go aftermarket anyway. Possibly a little more work involved, and not too sure about potential savings, but just something to consider.

Good luck

Actually the replacement is around $ 100, however I did consider the option of replacing the amplifier but I have no experience in how to replace it and it would be somewhat riskier.

IF you know of any documented project or videos of how it is done, you could consider it.

But I appreciate your comment that both can work for my vehicle

As I said, I'm not certain that both will work, and suggest you find a way to confirm (for me, that often includes realoem as well as a call to my dealer's parts dept).

But at $100, I'd just get an OEM replacement unless you are also planning to do other audio upgrades.

If so, there are already threads here that describe the process, and using a technic harness will be one of the easier ways to do this upgrade (but it can be done with a traditional LOC also).

As it's an old car, just throw out the OEM amplifier and get something like a Taramps or a 6channel amp.
Cutting cables and soldering is the best choice atm

Cutting wires is not the best way forward, the technic harness makes for a plug and play, and fully reversible installation of aftermarket amps.

That is the best way forward.

Cutting wires is always the last option.
Technic Hanress is the best option.
