21" A/S NON RFT vs 22" Prf Run Flat
Hello everyone
First of all, thank you all for helping me with my other threads and questions I am coming from a very stiff car and I'm looking for the most smooth and comfortable ride I can get! I just specked my 2021 X7 40i with DHP package & M sport Package and 21" M Lt/Aly Wheels, Double-Spoke 754M, Bicolour, A/S Non-RFT I like the look of the 22" rims a bit more that's why I wanted to know will the 21" non-run flats be better and smother in general compared to the 22" run flats? I test drove an X7 with 22" prf run-flats without DHP package it was very comfortable and good, will the 21" be even better? Thanks |

The x7 is my first experience with run flats, 22" continental sports and they were very comfortable. I swapped them out for the winter for Bridgestone 21" Blizzard run flats. I can't tell the difference.

To each there own. But I could tell the difference between my car's non run flat 21" tires and the loaner X7 they gave me with Run Flats as soon as I started driving it. The run flats were noisier and the ride quality was significantly worse with the run flats in my opinion.
This is all before I even knew that I was driving on run flat tires. I just knew the ride was rougher and noisier than my X7 which prompted me to check the tires on the loaner. Additionally, if you speck your car with NON Run Flat tires you get the spare tire kit for free. Otherwise, with the Run Flat Tires, you have to pay $150.00 for the spare tire kit. |
