CIC Business - MP3/USB/IPOD/BLUETOOTH What are my best options?

Hi,

I would like to play MP3 or Bluetooth streaming in acceptable quality.

I have this setup on my 2010 E93 (Convertible)
- CIC Business, as this is Business unit there is not hard drive to copy MP3 to
- I don't have a combox
- DVD drive is faulty and wont read any DVD's so can't put MP3 library on it
- I don't have a USB connector in the armrest to connect a USB stick to
- CD plays MP3 which is ok for now
- Bluetooth dongle is connected to AUX but sound is pretty weak
- I have this S694 Provisions For BMW 6 CD Changer

What I have found:
There is a IPOD/USB retrofit Kit but its not cheap and a lot of work
Aliexpress head unit with USB/Bluetooth/Video etc. is my Plan C

Is there a device that I can connect into the CD Changer pre-wire which acts as a CD changer and plays MP3?

Also, where is this CD-Pre Wire harness in my convertible? Is this also in the trunk/boot on the right side? This space looks different than on my E90.

Retrofit only the USB connection in the armrest? Is this just a cable and some coding?

Thanks!

I have seen his guide but this is for CCC. Also the device is also only available for the CCC.

If the wire harness is next to the amp, where is the amp?

thank you so much for the links but unfortunately they are not helping me find the pre wire harness for CD changer in my convertible
but after checking below link it points to the trunk space. I will take the cover apart and see if I can find the harness there.

this one talks abot coupe and sedan but not convertibel, trunk space is different on mine

Yeah, you can get a combox and a USB in the center console with the CIC Business. That would be one of the best solutions for the E90, the best being the CIC Pro. (the only advantage is the wider screen which would show you additional informations, but the functions are almost the same)

I think a combox should be pretty cheap these days, as you can find them easily.

If you can install them and code them, or find someone that can, you will get Bluetooth streaming and, more importantly, the USB in the console which, at least on iphones, through USB, can import Apple Music Playlists.

You can acces them through the controller and play any song you want, and, if coded properly, you will get Album art displayed.

As i said, the CIC Pro being wider will also display the song title next to the album art.

These are the easiest solutions for convienently playing music in the E90, as far as i know.
