Mobile phone help bmw

So I been trying to setup my phone for handsfree now since I purchased my 325i but the error I keep seeing is

“Mobile phone not installed”

I’ve tried to google and doing the holding volume button and eject. Haven’t had any luck.

Wondering if anyone here had this issue before.

Friend of mine has an iPhone 10 he connected his straight away on his 2008 330

My guess is that it would? If it has handsfree option but I couldn’t tell you tbh. Would be weird to have the options and buttons on steering wheel as well to not have BT

I've been caught out before myself ....
Google BMW VIN decoder use one with your vin and then see if it has the correct code in the vehicle order
Vehicle order is a list of feature codes and Bluetooth phone is one of them

So I had a look at this is what it says

S6NEA MOBILE-PHONE PREP.,BLUETOOTH + USB/AUDIO

Does this mean it is Bluetooth?

Or prep as in there is a spot but I’ll need to do upgrades?

your car is prewired and you need to add module, mic, usb jack, bluetooth antenna and code new options
