Issue: When the NAV menu is selected and the voice command pad is pressed, the only thing that happen is that Sirius channel 59 starts playing … unable to give any nav voice commands. If I select the FM menu and start listening to a station everything is OK until I press the voice command pad … then channel 59 is added to the list and it’s music starts playing. If I then select any FM station, channel 59 disappears from the list and the music channel I selected start playing.
NOTE: For any menu (AM, FM, COMEDY, etc) selected, pressing the voice command pad will result in channel 59 added to the list and it’s music starts playing.

Have you tried to reset the iDrive by holding the power button for 30 seconds?

Just tried it, but NO LUCK ... channel 59 is alive and well!

You should probably just get it checked out. Even better, ask for the software update so you won't have to risk bricking your car from an OTA.

Thanks for the info. Will take to dealer next week for annual checkup and get dealer to fix problem.
