Rear Climate Control not working correctly? I think......

The short statement, rear climate control panel only switches on after a couple of miles down the road, Why?????.

I go into the iDrive menu(Climate) and it won't allow me to select/tick rear climate control???? Why???

Is this standard? Does it need to warm up? OR is this a software problem??

HI,
there should be no 'warm up' period. The panel should be there as soon as you switch the car on.

Have you tried fully switching off the AC system and then restarting it? Otherwise it might have to be a visit to the dealer...

aha...from reading that manual, maybe your defrost is on for the first couple of minutes, that's why the rear AC is not functional...?

The front windscreen was misted up, so had that on the last time it did not work, it's all starting to add up now.
