I can't figure this out for the life of me. In my 2021 X6, only the nav screen has a setting for night brightness and it automatically dims when the headlights are on, but the HUD and instrument cluster stay full bright. There is a dial next the the headlight switch that I can manually turn, and it dims down the cluster/HUD and the backlight in the interior switches, but shouldn't they dim down automatically?

This is my 8th BMW, and it is the first one without an automatic dimming function.

My 2013 X6M does not auto dim so I assumed this was normal. What I always found annoying is that the nav screen did not auto to night mode. My wife's Audi does. This will be a big tech jump for me compared to my E71, if I ever get to pick up my 2021 X6MC.

That nav screen auto dimmed in all of my BMWs, including my E70, and it auto dims in the 2021 X6M. I dont remember if there is a setting that needs to be enabled in the e70 for it to auto dim, but in the F96 you specifically set night brightness for the nav screen.

The instrument cluster and the HUD in the F96 do not auto dim, and I don't see any setting anywhere to enable this. They auto dim in all my other BMWs.
