Battery charging

So I'm not using my car much these days working from home. I have an external charger to keep my battery topped off, should I hook it up to the actual battery in the trunk, or the terminal under the hood? Does it matter?

2009 E93

Thanks!

terminal under the hood.

Electrically theoretically it doesn't matter but if you slip when you are setting it up
you could short out some stuff in the trunk much more easily .
