Software Update Stuck
I received a notification that there was an update available and proceeded to download and install. It's an older .19 update and every time I check for a new update it states that the software update is complete. There is no getting rid of that message.
Is there anyway to reset this so it can see or search for a newer update? It's definitely not a 2020 update it's still stuck in 2019. Help |

I have the same issue. I got an upgrade message about 6 months ago, initiated the process, and the upgrade seems to have gone OK. Now, when I check for a remote software upgrade from within the vehicle, I get a few pages explaining the new features of the prior upgrade and that's it. Using the BMW Connected app, I get "No Upgrade available."

I don't think anyone outside of BMW knows how and when a particular update gets triggered for any specific vehicle. I know on older vehicles, there wasn't one specific file that could be used to update any individual vehicle...on my i3, to get a software update, it can only be done in the dealership, and when it's plugged in, BMW corporate literally builds an update for that specific vehicle based on the module set and version of hardware there is in the vehicle. They may have gotten more flexible, but that would require the software to be larger and then, for the vehicle to decide which module update version it needs to properly update the vehicle.
The update notices seems to be dribbling out in a pattern only BMW knows. |
