Comfort Access - proximity lock / unlock missing?
Hi all, Having had a very brief respite to a Mercedes e-Class convertible (only ever 1 Mercedes), I'm now back to the BMW fold with my 15th one! It's a sensible 520d Touring from July 2020 (but not LCI).
I'm based in Portugal so the spec is more limited than those in the US / UK are used to (I've just come from the US so know the difference!). That being said, it does have Comfort Access - option 322 among a few other things. It works in the usual way (same as my other more recent BMW's) except I can't find where to configure the touchless auto lock / unlock settings (based on proximity) in any menu. I've been through the doors/vehicle access menu and it's not there. Anyone know where it is (hiding)? If it's a spec issue, is it something that can be coded (BimmerCode or something similar)? Thanks for any pointers Gary. |

Gary,
Here in the UK it is found as follows ; From main IDrive Menu : Car > Settings > Doors/Vehicle Access > Comfort Access > Unlock by Approaching. Hope that helps, it works perfectly here.

Works perfectly for me. I only wish there was an option for it to know that the car is in your garage and not lock. Tesla’s can do that.
Or a way to program it to not activate at a little longer distance, so then it would not lock in the garage. |

If there are any coders out there that know if it's possible to enable the feature (either permanently or by enabling the menu item), I'd love to hear from you ... Thanks again all, Gary. |
