Programming is usually required.
Cars up till 09 were prewired for the options that were available in those years .(at least in the US) TCU= bluetooth phone and SOS Mulf 2 Hi = Bluetooth phone and USB Combox = Same as Mulf 2 hi with the addtion of bluetooth streaming in cars with the Correct Nav/idrive with the correct level of software. Both the Mulf 2 hi and the Combox may require some rewiring to the harness in earlier cars and modifications to the connectors for those units depending on the year. Read the Bluetooth sticky at the top of the page http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1181654 Also try the idrive sub forum. |

my only idea is that i can stream music trough bluetooth from my phone to CCC. I dont need anything else.
So i assume that bluetooth module needs to be from car wich had same CCC as mine, in my case proffesional? But if i would someday be interested in some more functions i got question, is it possible to have bluetooth module that is possible to control phone internet radio trough steering MF keys, for play stop and forward backward track commands? Ive noticed that on newer cars and it works just fine. I assume that functions are possible in never versions of bluetooths? |

Better go to the idrive forum it's a whole subject .
Your questions are not likely to be answered here. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IDrive You need a CIC to do factory streaming OEM. |
