OMG....First time seeing GTR

Saw a GTR passing by me, I had to make a detour home. Picture do not do the car justice. That car is SICK. After seeing it in person, I fell in love with that car. If i can get that car at MSRP, i would get it over m3,m5,m6, c63amg with a heartbeat. It was gray with a new york license plate in AZ. he's was like in the 40-50 range white hair. Oh and the attention that car is getting too, while i was trying to catch up to the GTR, like 3-4 cars was braking, changing lane just to get next to the GTR. Lol i had to get in line just to get side by side with the GTR. The sound of the car is meannnn. I just had to get it out. Sorry dont have any pic, was drooling over the car instead of taking pic.

I have to disagree. While I think the GTR is better looking in person than in photos, it looks way to video game/cartoonish for me. The lines on the M3 are much prettier IMHO.

GTR looks sick in person.
I saw a light brown one a few weeks ago and I almost rear-ended the car infront of me.

I like the wheels, exhaust, brakes. But it just didn't hit me. My wife and I stared at it for a while and decided not to get it (they actually had one sitting in the lot unsold!)

it will even sound better 5 years down the road...

im a big technology buff, so the GTR is a wet dream for me.

The question is, how much more than an M3 would one be willing to pay. Is it worth the 15k over the M3?

I say yes, but I assume many here were able to avoid the temptation

I'd get it but I think the M-DCT will hold up much better than Nissan-void-your-warranty-DCT-No-VDC-transmission

The GT-R stole the show at the L.A. Auto Show last year......it was the CAR.

M3..... no comparison.

9/10 people wouldn't know the difference between an M3 and a 325i........

Ask my Lexus dealer.....they thought my 330i was an M3.

the GTR is a baddass machine. I don't know where/how/why people are bringing up the M3 in this thread. it doesn't compare in any way. looks wise, it's classier, but it's definitely not better. the GTR blows it away, especially in the presence department.

I'd kill to have one.

i agree, GTR is at a different level. This GTR will be another Legend. Before i saw the car in person, Its just a nissan, car looks alright in picture, i would get M3 over this car even tho its slower. But after seeing it in person, the word Nissan didnt pop up in my mind. But the GTR pop in my mind. Now only if i can see a white or a black GTR in AZ. Those m3 vs GTR thread are pointless to me now. Its more appropriate with 997 turbo vs GTR.

A LOT of cars aren't moving.

Maybe because of a recession?

Speed isn't everything to some people. In person, the car is HUGE. Not to mention that the interior looks like something straight out of a video game.

I'd rather have a "slower"/classier car aka an M3, or to make it a fair comparison, a 997 Turbo.

What's wrong with the GTR's DCT? It's made by Borg Warner.

The first time I saw the silver GTR on the road a while back (actually, I have saw a few of them on the road now in white, red, grey and silver), it was stopped for the red light and a blue 997 turbo was behind it. My wife know a little about car and she thought the GTR is Aston Martin, and she think it looks way way better than the Porsche behind it. For me, I am a JDM nuts so GTR has always been my dream car since the R32 and actually I still prefer the R34 over R35.

I tend to agree with you.

I saw a silver one (same one) twice in my parents neighborhood last Sunday. It just doesn't get me excited.

It's cool, but just doesn't have that "WOW" factor for me.

+1

Only real enthusiasts will know what kind of car it is, and to me, that's all that really matters.
