Thank God for Bimmerpost - Two untrained individuals in a service center

I called my local M Certified service center.

I talked with one lady about servicing my new 21 M5C ... 1200 miles
She was clueless and couldn't understand why I wanted to have my fluids changed at 1200 miles, so she transferred me to someone else with "more experience." The second lady said all BMW's do not need service until 12000 miles. The second lady was adamant and insisted that I was mistaken.

I was like... OMG! What the hell is going on. I told her that if I followed her advice, I would void the warranty on my vehicle.

Needless to say, I called back and got a guy that could help me.

By the way, this is what you get at an AutoNation service center in Houston. Their geniuses are not trained either. AutoNation is America's Largest Automotive Retailer. What a joke.

I think we have a common denominator here...you sure you got passed to the service center and now simply bounced around the front reception?

LOL even if the actual uneducated employees do not know the process(es) on the break in service, the vin and key of the car will dictate what is to be done. That connects the car to what the factory has set up to be done.

That sucks had a horrible experience at bmw west and since I'm smack in the middle between them and autonation I was going to give autonation a shot. I guess I'll be finding a local shop to work with on stuff I don't want to do after doing it once.
