Am I getting horrible MPG even after maintenance?? B46
2018 330xi sports wagon b46.
65,000/mi I did airfilter and spark plugs along with a fuel additive about 500miles ago expecting to see my MPG go up significantly. Once after I did that I only went from 19mpg to 21mpg I do about 80% city street driving primarily and I don’t really mash it too often but even when trying to drive lightly and even on ECO Pro I still get get any better that 21.5 mpg . The car is near 70,000 miles and I’m thinking if it’s time for the ignition coils? I thought they had a life of about 120k Or am I just screwed and stuck at 21MPG? Thanks |

Off the top of my head, I believe my F31 B46 gets around 22mpg, and I have a roof box always installed. Also, I have aftermarket wheels and suspension (fwiw). City driving is going to make it challenging to get your numbers up, but I agree that you should probably be doing a bit better.
Have you already cleaned your MAF sensor? Cheap and fast to do, and might help.
