I had to change the "Administration (Wrench/Spanner icon) > VCI Config Tab > Interface Type" setting to "Ediabas Default Settings (ediabas ini)" to be able to connect to my E91 with K+DCAN Cable.

At opening screen, click on the "Wrench/Spanner" icon on top line. A Dialog box titled "Administration" should appear. Click the right-hand tab, "VCI Config"; then at top-left of next option box, click "ediabas default settings".

Please let us know if that solves the issue.

Latency setting set to 1, in your device manager port setting?

If you did windows update it can change the port latency and it wont function properly.

If this is still an issue, have you made sure that obd.ini lists the same com port your cable is on?
