Has any one done the replacement of passenger side mirror? Mine broke during a parking accident and have to get it replaced. Any suggestions on purchasing this OEM part? Apologies if this is a repost.

https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=51_A140 https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=51_A589 Assuming you only broke one or two of those, a visit to your parts counter should help. They should be able to confirm the exact P/Ns based on the VIN so you don't have to decipher or make any assumptions and get it ordered for you. I've ordered little clips and trim pieces over the years and they've always been willing to help. If you cracked the painted cap, you'll either want to try to find a used/painted cap that someone is getting rid of because they put on some carbon caps, or get a set of carbon caps for yourself since the cost to spray a new set would be pretty silly. As far as the install, I've only done the caps myself and they're simple, you just need to get some body pry tools, tape, patience, etc. Beyond that and I might seek help, too many small parts I could fumble and crack while trying attempting to fix it.

How much damage did your mirror suffer? I actually have p/n 5 (support ring) and p/n 6 (mirror cap in Arctic Grey) I can sell you pretty cheap since I upgraded my mirrors to the M-mirrors found on the XM SAVs.
I actually did a DIY on the M-mirrors upgrade that shows some parts of the side mirror disassembly: https://g07.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1737021 However, completely removing the side mirror assembly is not as difficult as it looks. But it will require removing some of the inner door panels.

If all you need is a replacement mirror cap and paint, you should be able to get that done for $150 or less. Maybe $200 or so if you want the dealer to install it. As much as I would love to sell you one of my mirror caps since I have no use for them, it might actually be cheaper to buy a new cap since mine are already painted (repainting is more expensive that painting new).
